Lost voice, found voice: repeat
This album is the summation of a tumultuous year. The ups and downs of the level and tones of each song reflect starting frustrations in West Virginia, some loss and desperation in Baltimore, a little hope and renewal, and final despair in Richmond. Private Eleanor made his mark on this beast. It was work, a lot of lonely work--until the end, until things began to come around at the last minute, almost a year after that cold West Virginia night. I can now think of gardens new.
