Peach/Apricot
I was really in love during this time and I was writing because of that—that is a good place to be. I was reading The Fountainhead and thinking about the love of my life every night. She lent me that book and made an impression on me that would direct the course of the rest of my pw albums. As I told a friend, in some way every song I write is to her. This is the album that started that. I wrote most of these songs cooped up in the only room that had air conditioning at Ryan Smith’s house, when John Tucker was living in his basement. What an amazing summer that was!
