Soft Western Songs, For Love [ep]

An album of desperation and reaction to the demise of the lowell empire (again a story for another time). I did this on a Friday night in my yuppie room at The Redwood during the roughest semester of my first year of graduate school. I mixed the next day, and unhappy with it, I showed it to the world to prove I could still do it alone. I gave it right away to Chris and Joylene who did not know what to make of it. It has some interesting things and I am starting to appreciate what I did in a fit of sadness on that cloudy, cold Friday night. It laid the framework for my relation to a whole new group of musicians and friends, the MMC, and especially one who has potential to understand this madness. Partially old lowell, partially finding a new voice, this album has life to it and is tribute to those who made this. This is new era pw, and one that is both looking forwards and backwards simultaneously.
